Man, who KNOWS what happens when you send a package to anyone???

Here, I purchased a Garcia Mitchell 408 reel in prime shape, and Fred threw in a FREE Mitchell Garcia 305.  305 is for Right Handers when using a spinning reel, so I thought best to keep it as a shelf queen.

Upon closer inspection, the Handle side plate is missing a screw???

YET... in photos Fred sent me of his completed work, the 305 has the screw in place!!!

I contacted Fred, explained what happened and he GLADLY sends me a new screw to complete the reel.

DONE, at least I thought I was.

here is the new handle side plate screw.

BUTT in the large USPS shipping box was a Garica 9800 ultralight reel.

The Garcia 9800 is a solid little package for a reel.  I WILL  USE IT!!!!  I hike & fish the western free-flowing streams in the high Sierra each summer, and for this gem, I'll put on 4 lbs. test and head out for the weekend.  I'll post that trip later this summer.

Fred!!!  You are simply amazing on your stash of fishing reels and parts for those reels.  This was handled so quickly and to send me ANOTHER reel for my collection FREE, my words are THANK YOU  :al

It is sprinkling here, more rain tomorrow & thru next Tuesday.

But here, we always get pizza delivery, no snow chains needed!!!!!

Couldn't have said it better, Tom.  I've been the benefactor of kindness from both Wayne and Fred.  More importantly, they, like many of you all, have been very giving of their time and knowledge, which makes this place really special.

BTW Wayne, that's a nice lookin reel.  What rod are you planning on using with that?
I fish because the voices in my head tell me to.
