Need spool for Okuma Avenger AV50

One of my customers is looking for a spare spool for his Okuma Avenger AV 50.  Unfortunately there are at least two designs.  His is the older design which incorporates a rubber hold down for the drag stack.  All I can find is one that has the newer metal ring clip to hold down the drag stack. They will not interchange. Wondering if anyone has an old spool lying around they might want to part with.

Found (3) new spools out in the upstairs shop storage.

Appears all 3 have the retaining ring however.

No charge.

Are you sure that the drag stack couldn't be modified in some way to work?

Yes those are same design I bought that won't work.

I wonder if the newer version drag knob for the ones you show would fit on the older version I have and allow the newer spool like you have to be used on the older reel.  Right now the older version drag knob will not engage the threads on the drive shaft as it will not fit down far enough due to the design difference between the two spools. Would you have a drag knob that works with the new version spools (the ones you show).  Just a thought.  if you do I'd like to buy one from you if you want to part with one.

I just happened to have a crate of Okuma spools, along with around 1500-2000 other spools that need to go away.

Never really worked on Okuma too much —- and got rid of any/all parts a few years ago.

eBay might have something though.
