Anyone work on these yet? I have four that we use for inshore bluefin trolling and while I've cracked them open to spread blue Penn grease on the inside and screw threads as preventative maintenance I saw the black plastic housing with the tiny metal clip that covers the drag system and balked at opening that up. I really want to get some Cal's on the drag system but am a little concerned about a form factor that is utterly new to me.

Any help would be appreciated!

You lift the tab and swing it around on top of the plastic drag cover and it sits there, do not pop the clip off.  Then you can loosen the drag cover by hand or use the multi tool wrench or strap wrench to loosen the cover.  The reels already have white petroleum grease on the dura-drag, unless saltwater got in there you will not need to add any more.  While you are in there check the spool bearings.  Re-tighten the drag cover by hand, then swing the tab back around, turn drag cover slightly and you will hear it "click" into place.
