Ohana Albacore to Baja

I was very fortunate to be part of the ohana on alantani and have friends all over the world, this time I received mail from Washington State from our amigo Ted and also mail from California sent by Steve (crabpot), Ted send me some of his delicious Albacore with jalapeño, salt and salmon samples, duuuude, amigo !! those are delicious, all of the different flavors were a hit!!
Steve sent me some jars of his version of canned Albacore chunks !! compa Steve that tuna was fantastic.

to tell the truth, my wife and I tried the Albacore without mixing it with any other ingredient, just poured the content of the bad into a deep plate and ate it directly with a fork along with a glass of white wine, same deal with the Albacore from Steve, some really good chunks came from those glass cans.

but, our youngest daughter asked Mom if she could prepare some Tuna patties using that fish, it sounded like a good idea.
I will just say that they're one of a kind, thanks Ted and thanks Steve to send that fish out till Baja, Mex. I really appreciated as well as my family, Albacore have a really sweet/mild flavor and no wonder everyone was crazy about it when you could catch them down in california waters.

I will leave some pictured of the Albacore tuna patties
nothing special, the regular ingredients and recipe for a comfort food full of Omega 3, we ate the albacore patties as cookies  ^-^  ^-^  ;)

I love the look of those patties, we call them fish cakes.   Wife usually uses Yellowtail for that.

well, I have to search for the name that are normally know in USA, here in Mexico we call them "tortitas de pescado" or "gorditas de pescado", 80% of people use canned tuna but since I started on sport fishing we like to use spanish mackerel or yellowtail to made them, this time I had some fresh Albacore  ^-^
