Daiwa Millionaire Drag Star Upgrade

I've recently acquired a 103 CV-X with the hopes of upgrading the drag star and handle to something akin to the modern Daiwas. Rumor had it that by swapping in a SV105 Alphas drive shaft that it would allow room for a clicky star drag. Unfortunately that rumor has proven false. The drive shaft from my SV105 will not work with my CV-X.

Does anyone have experience with this matter? I know it can be done as I've pictures of people who have modded theirs successfully. I just need to know what the appropriate drive shaft to swap is. Thanks
