I have this reel that I'd like to get working.  Anyone have ideas on where I can get the part(s) that holds the spool on?

Boon just posted a way to cross reference Shimano part numbers: the post is under Shimano conventional tutorials and it's stickied. A slight chance some other Shimano reels use that push button collar. Ereplacement parts is another source, and they also have the schematic.

Unfortunately the Spirex was discontinued in 2020. Some parts have reasonable availability but several of the key ones you need are NLA with no stock showing.

The closest you are likely to get is a Sahara/Sienna 2500 rear drag. The stack of parts looks identical, and the pushbutton is the same part number. The spool cap/push button collar is the part I would be most worried about.

Parts as follows:
10AX4 "Washer" - 2x required
10AX2 "Locking spring"
10AX1 "Washer"
10JRT "Push Button"
10QPV "Push Button Collar"

All very affordable and showing in stock at fishshop.shimano.com

Good luck.

Dude! You're a lifesaver!  I couldn't find the new part # for the collar and was dead in the water.  Got everything ordered and shipped for $19.  I make my own plastics for bass fishing and such so let me know if you want some custom colors of my own design to fish and I'll send a bag to you.  I also tie flies if you fly fish.
