That's a 4500CS.  The silver was a US model for 1994 only.  It came in other colors for the Europe and Japan markets and was in regular production for them until 2015.  We only got it one year in the States.

It's so narrow that I thought it must be 1500, 2500 or one of those low numbers.  ABU model numbers are one big mystery.  I have a couple of beaters that had the adhesive labels removed and I've never known what they are.

The 4500-6500 sizes use a 39mm diameter spool, and the 1500-3500 uses a 30mm diameter.  Abu originally intended for the small frame models to replace the mid frame at some point, but that never happened due to the overwhelming popularity of the 5000 size.  For all intents and purposes, the 1500 is about the same width as a 4500, and the 2500/3500 is the same width as a 5000.  The 39mm is a beast for distance casting, while the 30mm is great for more up close distances.

I am assuming this holds true for 1600 & 3600,4600-6600?
