I have replaced all my dock queens line with braid.Being  in the elements 24/7
Mono doesn't last & I have lost fish because of the fact.

Anywho last weekend we did good & I have no idea what braid I was using?
I have tried many & whatever it is seems to be a keeper.

I know Gregg is wise marking his spools accordingly I think I will start that practice.

I always keep all my empty line spools. Use them to recycle and move other lines around on different reels lol. Use the bigger ones on my crab traps. Don't think I ever saw Gregg post a reel that wasn't marked or in fine shape too lol.

I'm very very partial to daiwa x8 j braid. The "grand" variety is great on baitcasters but kinda sucks on spinners.

The power pro x8 braid is good for the thinner lines, the 8# braid is shockingly strong. I'm a fan of the "onyx" color. I've seen minnows run away from the blue line across the top of the water. Wonder if the bigger fish see it too.

I usually get lo vis green braid,my cuz always used spider wire stealth green, back then weren't as many choices.

I have tried so many I am leary of black now.Although not braid
I did see
fish get line shy on black fireline vs. Berkley big game green mono.Guy out fished me 4:1 but the next time I used his line it was a different story & I was driving the boat both trips.

braid is weird, different brands and even different releases of the same brand can be quite different..
currently I like Yamatoyo PE Resin Sheller Orange for baitcast finesse. The blue version of this gives me a lot of mystery breakoffs, the orange is perfectly reliable up until it starts to get fibrous.
Sunline Overwatch has been excellent on spinning reels for ultralight.
I went through about a dozen other braids to arrive at these..

She, unfortunatly Jerry died a few years ago and his daughter Marylin is now running the company. Same fine product and great to deal with.
