So I am in the process of breaking down various reels.  I have severals parts on the Penn 720 bail assembly where it appears the chrome has been scratched off and a bronze color is underneath.  Is there a procedure that I can use to remove the rest of the chrome?  I figure if I could get chrome off I could either or polish or paint the underlying part.

Thank you.

Removing chrome is an involved process that most individuals don't have the equipment. Need to take it to a chrome plating shop and have it stripped. Probably costly, if you can find a shop that will deal with such a small job. Most likely be much cheaper to go to mysticparts.com and buy new pieces.
