:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

Are they for real? Couldn't find any real photos of their products, just rendered 3d images.

My friends are looking into it...but they are supposed to be the real thing.

Do I have to sign over my first born to own a reel like that?

The reel is pretty though.
I have not failed.  I just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

Not a bad price for a Titanium Reel...
Would like to open one and look around.....
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....
WOW!!! WHAT A RIDE!

Frank, you are right, I'd pay $19.95 + tax and handling will keep it under $25.00.   ;) ;D Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Thanks for the link Bryan
Like many here, I prefer overheads, but that really is a thing of beauty.
Looking forward to hearing more about it.

Very cool looking reel. When and where?
luck is the residue of design.

spottybastard

It looks like a van Staal.  At least on the outside.

Also evocative of the 1950s' Luxor, which were a fantastic balance of function and form...
Have a couple in the workshop at present.

Nice looking reel! Any shots of under the hood?
Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

alantani

very sad.....

i watched "nantucket sleigh ride" and you could SEE the drags sticking.  someone please get in touch with the manufacturers and have them contact smoothdrag.com to get some decent drag washers and some cal's grease.  probably just as well that be broke off.   :-\
send me an email at alantani@yahoo.com for questions!

The reel in the video is something else. Looks like a VS with a bail.

Those aren't photos of the reel on the website; only computer graphics.

Looks like fun though.

Can't wait for the tutorial on this one. Looks to be a smallish drag surface from the pics. Maybe something under the spool?

looks close to a Zeebaas
