I have a Pro Gear that ticks. Actually, it's nice because it is a 545 and it doesn't have a clicker on it anyways. The gears are a little noisy and rough, but the tick is loud on the out when the drag is engaged. If you chanegd out the gears, you should find this to disappear/reduce. The drag system will cause the main gear to rotate, but the drag washers are stationary in reference to the driveshaft.
