Mel, the knobs are Alan's new 3/0's, I also have the 6/0, but a friend is testing the reel that it's on.
I have seen lots of handles, Alan's is the best made one so far. Those should last a long while.
Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

why did i typed arms? oh this swiss cheese brain of mine. ::) am sure will last at least my lifetime. i have the 1st gen knobs/handles and my love handles ;) ;D
