Hello to everyone here,

My name is Darren, AKA Fishin Dude, a moniker given to me years ago by a Virginia charter captain while fishing on Chincoteague Bay, which has stuck to this day.

I fish as much as I can, from either my own, my friends, 6 pack charter, or party boats, as well as from shore. I'm guilty of not knowing the exact count of how many reels I own, but probably 95% of them are Penn Reels.

I enjoy the thrill of finding a new one for my display collection, as well as the satisfaction of the repairing/ rebuilding/customizing  process to resurrect old Penn reels to one day fish again, most even better than before.

I know that I will learn things here, and only hope that I can give back in return. I don't have a machine shop, I'm just a guy with some hand tools and a fishing addiction.
