I had that reel a while back, it is a nice reel, the chromed parts always stayed good on mine.
If I remember correctly, I believe it uses the #6-60 washers, same as the Squidder. The ID does have to be enlarged just a little, but the OD should be the same.
Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

I decided to go further und upgrade used Penn's drag washers.
I chose fiber-glass plastic as the new material ( its even hard to drill)
Pure drag figures were just tremendous for that type of reel-30LB (and even more)
So...fiber-glass plastic rules?
