Cow YFT and reels they were expected to far exceed their designed drag.  On the same trip 2 Accurate reels quit working.

Keta, your picture is frightening!  I have a TLD 50 LRS that I just spooled with 60# and was planning on yanking some tuna with it.  Now Im not so sure if its the right thing to do.  Are these any stronger in the base, or is it the same?  Am I going to be limited to 30# on this reel?

If you mean 30# line, no.  If you mean 30# of drag, I would not go much higher.  (I will also say god bless you if you got the strength to fight at drag settings over 30#s, unless you are fighting from the gunnels). 

People out my way use the TLD 50 for fish up to 250# all the time.  TLD 30s land fish in the mid to high 100s.  Unfortunatley the fish can't read so there is nothing to stop a 500# fish from giving it a try.
