I have a pair of proteus 300L (left hand wind) that has a few parts missing.
The main parts missing is the level wind line guides.
These are no longer available from Daiwa.
I am wondering if it is possible to remove the level wind assembly and top bar
and replace the level wind assembly with a solid CT conversion bar.
Apart from this the reels run great needing just brake blocks and a clicker know
which happens to be available
i wonder if ambassadeur parts would work..... ???

Im wondering the same. the frame is very similar to an ambasseaduer 6500
as its a 6000 size reel.
The space between the frame on the proteus is 46mm. i cant measure a abu
as i no longer have an abu 6500 reel.
Do you have an abu 6500 you can measure or even a daiwa millionaire 6hm size.
If its only a mm or two longer i can get away making it shorter
Ambassadeur 6500 frame gap is 45mm
Daiwa Millionaire Classic parts should fit. I believe the Proteus is just the European version of the Millionaire with a different name.

the full name of the reel is actually millionaire proteus. it was also sold here in the uk as a more budget friendly reel

thats a shame. 1mm too short. wouldnt mind if it was 1mm too long. do you happen to know the width of the millionaire 6hm/rm
