Leaving early am tomorrow for a 7 day fishing trip with 3 mates and a 7.5m boat😃No wives, no kids, just us the boat and the fish😎 Big thanks to Alan, ordered some reel handles last week and he got them in the post same day ! Hoped and prayed ( and payed for expidited shipping ) and they got here this arvo😃Fitted already and ready for action! Hoping I can post you all some great pics when I get home late next week😊

Arrived safe and settled in. Just finished fitting the handle to my mates TLD20 2 speed, he's happy as a pig in the proverbial and the other two guys with us are very impressed! Hitting the water very early and heading for the same marks we did well at last year😃Will check in tomorrow night hopefully with plenty of pics!
it's funny, i've had stuff shipped to australia, tanzania and croatia that arrived in a week, and stuff shipped to canada that took three. you just never know.... :-\
Ok, first day on the water I got a 4kg Duhfish and a Red Throat Emperor, the boat got a couple more Red Throats and. Nice Baldchin Grouper!

Today I got a a nice Bronze Whaler shark that broke of just before we could get a gaff in him😏 I got a Shovel Nose Shark into the boat but put it back, didn't know if it was legal or not and besides I don't think I could have bought myself to kill it! Darrel got an 8kg Duhie and a 6kg Mack Tuna. Mark got a 2kg Silver Cobbler and I got one Red Throat Emperor.

This is my friends boat, it's a 7.0m Pride with a V6 Yamaha 200hp.
That's the 2m Bronze Whaler we nearly got. And on my lighted rod with the Shimano TR 2000 reel! The new handle is awesome😃
The rod was bent so much the braid sliced the foam hand grip above the reel😝

Had an absolutely cracking day today😃5 Big Eye Tuna and a Makeral Tuna Trolling! We also caught two big Spanish Makeral trolling but list them at the boat😖Rod got a Rankin Cod and Mark got a fantastic Cobia😃 I had a pretty big Pink Snapper ( my first ever legal Pinkie ) bitten in half by a shark on the way up😖 Darrel, the guy who cleaned up yesterday caught nothing today but that's fishing😁
We have almost filled an 80L Engel with fillets already😃
Another great day today😃Kalbarri is really turning it on for us! Schools of tuna everywhere though we still haven't gotten a Makeral. Lots of sharks about but they seem to be all of the whaler species which are very good eating and AND I finally got a legal Pink Snapper😃 I also caught my first ever Cobia!

Another great day today though the wind came in early and hard😒Mark got a great Duhfish and a fantastic Red Emperor, his first ever! I got a Rankin Cod and a Mangrove Jack, both new species for me😃We got some big Blue Line Emperors and another Bronze Whaler shark! But we had a casualty😔My trusty Shakespeare Tidewater rod finally bit of more than it could chew, broken by a shark😭If that means I'll need Togo out and by a new rid donor all bad😁

Last day today and again the wind came in early and hard. Darrel got a nice Duhfish and Bald Chin Grouper, Mark got some nice big Blue Line emperors and I got nothing😒Not a single keeper but that's fishing and we all had an off day, was just my turn today! I did have a couple big fish bust me off and I had another one taken by a 2.5m shark but this time the shark went crazy😳It jumped fully ( whole body out of the water ) 3 times!! Once it landed on the outboard pod, once only 3m or so from the side of the boat but heading in our direction and once further out! Never seen anything like it and of course, no one had a camera ready😔All in all we've had a great trip and we have a nice haul off fish to divvy up when we get home😊
