I saw the tsunami warning pop up, but it was quickly cancelled for anywhere north of there.

It's all good, the warning has been lifted & nobody has been hurt.

No, haven't felt one here in Auckland in a few years - maybe 2013, but that was just a little roly-poly.
We had a reasonable jolt in 2007 - around 4.5.
We've also just started to get some action on Mt Ruapehu again, so there might be something afoot...
I was in Big Bear CA for the 1992 quake and in LA in '94.
Those were proper shakes...
