Hi guys
Can anyone tell me if the ABU 8600 "STRIPER DRAG" differed in any way to the drag in the IGFA 12 reel?
thanks
Bsto
Paging Dr. Janssen
What, me..?
Um, yes... i think it was the same reel, just with a different name. Not sure why they chose to call it 8600 as opposed to say, 8500. (x6xx nowadays denotes thumb bar) but i guess the Striper Drag thing was just something that sounded cool.
.
Thank you for your reply Robert.

Dang! All you have to do is page Robert Janssen and he appears?
I always read your threads Basto, knowing it will be about a reel I never heard of before.

I know this is an old post but I thought I might just add some info I dug up as I'm working on a Ambassadeur 12.
Ambassadeur 8500, Ambassadeur 8600 Striper, Ambassadeur NINE, Ambassadeur TEN, and Ambassadeur 12 all share the same drag stack (drag washers #4565, #4567, and #4569).
