Hi evey one @ Alantani's...Great source of information Alan ....an important asset to fishermen everywhere....
Before I heav these reels do you have any drag updates for tica caimans, I 'm using with a heavy braid pp 7 ft medium  graphite rod ...should i try a normal diameter mono? save them for freshwater ?i see they now make a Striper version of this reel any insite greatly appreciated!

the tica's are certainly not the best reels around, but they actually have some serious potential.  the mantra is the same....  grease in the screw holes, grease on all the non-exposed metal surfaces, greased carbon fiber drag washers and bearing service.  the real trick is upgrade the drag washers.  alan

Thanks Alan ,are there readily (is this a word)available ht 100 washers or do these need to be made up by hand...

here's a list of the sizes of the various drag washers.  you should be able to match something up pretty closely.  they are also easy to hand cut.  alan
