Wonder if anyone has forgotten to flick the bail arm first?

I Did actually research this a couple years back. It works good for spinners and small fish baits. for the type of Shark fishing I do. It won't work. Bigger hooks, bigger reels, bigger end tackle and Bigger baits need a Kayak to do it right.
It is a neat little toy though. Lets see him shoot a dinner sized plate ray through that Gun! ;D

No for rays you freeze them flat and put them in a clay launcher. You can bring your shotgun and shoot them on the way out!  Bob

These are all pretty neat.  I'd rather see Daron humping it out there in his kayak.   :D :D Dominick

Posted this in another thread but it works here too. Cali doesn't seem to be the exclusive white haven anymore. I was looking at ocearch's tracker last october after we'd been out at kure for a week. After seeing that Mary Lee had been cruising a couple hundred yards offshore I told my boys there was absolutely no way I was paddling baits at night out anymore. Daytime is one thing... but at night with 16ft, 3400lb monsters.... no thanks.

That guy dumped almost his whole spool on the "cast". How do you fight a fish when you don't have any line left?

I've always wondered if there was a remote control boat  that would be suitable for the job

There is Joe,
I've seen baits dropped by RC Boats, Drones and helicopters. These are all at least A couple hundred dollars. One wrong move and they are gone. >:(
I will stick to my Kayak. This past September, I finally did some night drops. It was actually very relaxing. ;D

NC law recently passed regarding drones that may make it illegal to use drones in hunting/fishing. I'd have to look at the exact wording but I'm pretty sure deploying bait with an unmanned vehicle is now an issue here.

Sturgeon fisherman used RC boats to get their baits out the center of the Columbia River up until the 80's ,
when a law was passed making the practice illegal.

In the UK (& EU) carp & cat fish anglers use radio controlled bait boats:
Like this http://www.nwac.co.uk/waverunner-shuttle-bait-boat.html?gclid=CI2y1Nzi5sICFcPMtAodt2wAjA

I'm sure there must be a larger scale one available somewhere.
It's almost tempting to build areally large one - How hard can it be  ;D
Personally I don't have a use for one, but you never know  ;)

If there was one that was affordable and could handle up to one pound of cargo, I'd be using it in a flash.  Haven't found one like that, however.  Maybe in the future the cost will go down.

Most of the UK RC boats can handle 2lb of bait
