Title: HELPPP with shimano varispeed oscillation system
Post by: pepperist on April 10, 2013, 03:54:56 AM
I took apart my Shimano Sedona to do some preventative maintenance, and I don't think I can get the gears to align properly. According to the schematics, the arrows on the main gear have to align with the arrow and "stub" on the other gear, but no matter how many times i've tried it, the gears can only turn partially before binding. Does anyone have any experience with this? I am so desperate, I've been working on this wayyyy too long!

nvm. i finally got it. i had to make sure the block gear didn't move even the slightest bit so the arrows were perfectly aligned. 1000size reel = small gear teeth. WHEW.
