Title: Saragosa 4000F washer to raise spool
Post by: 808printer on June 15, 2021, 05:22:48 AM
Odd, I have a pair with same line loaded yet one loads high. Where may I purchase washers to raise the spool? Also does one usually suffice?
Mahalo,

if you had the inside and outside diameters, most of us would make something.  i have sets of punches and various materials to choose from.  can you measure the washer needed and lets know?

Mahalo,

Hey mate, they are all different due to the tolerances involved. If you bought the reel new it should have come with shims and instructions to adjust to get the right line lay. These are not drag washers (ie carbontex) but more like a hard thin plastic (ie delrin). Have a look in the box if you've got it, let us know how you go.

Cheers,
Andrew
