Does anyone know what caused the fire?
SD to Homer is 2500 miles. The shipyards in SD must be crazy high to make the run to Homer cost effective.

So many great memories fishing with my parents on this boat back in the late 60's thru the mid 70's.I was a soon be drafted high schooler. Loved the boats low freeboard, and the boat skipper and crew were awesome. Albacore and Yellowtail were abundant and close. Gear was simple; an overnight trip not expensive. The 60 mile drive was not too bad, and a Jig-Master Reel on a Harnell rod was all I needed. I had great parents!
