Nothing is harder to our Baitcasters that heavy Esox angling,

therefore I have made a new sub Forum today at Esoxhunt for those interested in reel repair.  I recommend everyone to participate, and hope you will enjoy our forum. We already have some pretty helpful musky and pike guys hanging around at Esoxhunt, I like to mention Pikemaster, who is known for his profound knowledge in reel repair, as well as servicing reels for some of the most well know guides and outdoor writers in the US.

Esoxhunt Magazine that will launch this new year, and bring you articles from some of the most well know outdoor writers from both Europe and the US/Can, the reel repair forum will be a part of the Online Magazine.

Go get em Killerbug.  I looked at the site.  Kind of neat.  Some Danish tips might be useful here in the U.S. and vice versa.  Actually coffee an Danish go over very well already ;D. Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

The site is not online yet, just the forum.

Europe need it's own reel repair forum(without so many restrictions), and this is might be a start.

Great idea Killerbug. Can see a lot of advantages for those of us on this side of the pond.  Lots of Pikers in Ireland and the UK  would be very interested in this new Forum. Good Luck.

Hey Killer:  You are not talking about too many restrictions on this site are you?  Actually this site has reasonable restrictions.  Keep it clean and don't go too far off the subject.  No bashing and non political comments.  Like Alan has said, there is the 12 year old rule.  These are reasonable restrictions.   Dominick

That's your opinion, we just offer an alternative.  A 12 years rule for(adult)sailors, might not be everyone's taste, and discussions of politics(sustainable fishing) is just a part of everyday life. To be honest I cant see anything wrong with that.

But the focus should be on reel repair, and here I think there is a need for a board with more focus on freshwater, and reels for casting.

Hi Morton,

You are right.  Although you may not completely agree with the basic ground rules of this website, there are many that do and enjoy participating in this environment.  We are not like most open forms and websites, and the moderators work very hard to maintain it in this manner.

There is nothing limiting reel repair and reel hotrodding of fishing reels used for freshwater or casting in this site.  The site is dividied up into categories based on manufactures and not based on type of fishing styles.

Bryan
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

Yes Morten:  That is my opinion.  If you find something wrong with that then all sites have a opt out button.  You are only one click away from leaving a site with a philosophy you disagree with.  Dominick

I don't think there is anything wrong in being different, or having different opinions.  Alternative forums are a good thing, and there are many reel repair and fishing forums out there who cooperate and share informations.

One of the few things I leaned at the Polytechnic University, was the ability to have a technical disagreement without being personal, also to be open towards other peoples ways of approaching things.  No offense taken by the way.
