possibly,i am in the middle of building custom handles for baitcasters with c/f blanks and small 35mm knobs. finding the correct components at a fair price is a major obstacle.1st reel will be tested tomorrow when i fish.cheers

Some Newell Graphite Handles rounded off on the Bridge Sleeve year ago when fighting a big fish. Yes I love my Newell's but I don't fish for the fish most people fish for on this site.

sounds like they were using the reel as a winch,not pump and wind

I haven't seen it happen yet. The biggest fish I go for is Striped Bass & then Blue Fish or Cod. My biggest was 42# & I used a Jig Master

The Penn Power Handle for the JigMaster will fit the 332 with a little modification with a Dremmel. Just go slow and make sure you get a nice snug fit. I love my Newells, but the handles stink. I converted to the Power Handles years ago and never looked back.

I have been using the Alum. handles with no problem. The Penn handle that I would use is the 24-66 & it's counterbalanced. One of our better fishermen uses a newer Penn handle same size but lighter in weight.

we  caught 7 or 8 species.between nick the ink and my self
dhu,morwong,snapper.etc;
after we caught our table fish we chased the birds.
thinking they were tuna because it was very rough for the 1st 4hrs.full moon as well.
they were heading into the breeze,so we got up wind of them and cut the motor.
it turned out they were dorado.thousands of them.
none bigger than 2ft.just under the boat.
we just enjoyed them and didnt worry to much about catching.
we will give em a bit of larry dooley if they come pass next year.
cheers
ps.i took a spare handle offa da 7000abu and changed it out there
when the c/f started to fail.
