??? And then he wondered why she's a little stiff? :o
In the saltheads' defense, many folks claim that keeps saltwater out of the reel. Actually, I'm not so sure it's true. I've seen many saltwater fishermen post pics of water trapped in that grease, also salt crystals after drying. All I know for sure...is the guy who casts and retrieves that reel all day must have arms like Schwarzenegger!
Dang! ;D
??? Is there a grease fitting on that reel ?
On the bright side, Tommy —
You might be able to remove and recycle that grease — you won't need to buy grease for another couple of years!
A lot of Mitchell 300's have this issue of a case full of grease — that is because Mitchell put that aluminum screw-off grease port at the rear of the housing — with instructions to keep pumping grease in there.
Best,
Fred
Tommy I've seen this many times. It always amazes me.
Wow--nasty.

Can you imagine what it would look like if they had put a zerk fitting instead? :D Dominick

Hey anyone hear from Tommy lately? Heard a tar pit was discovered near his house......hope he didn't fall in it.... ;D. Bill
