Title: Refresh TLD frames?
Post by: Phinaddict on October 08, 2010, 02:40:11 AM
Does anyone have a way of making TLD frames look black again? Seems they bleach out to
a mottled dark gray; not to mention that the sun damage makes me a little bit suspect of the frames strength.
Is there a way to refresh the color and get it back to black?

You can get quite a bit of the color back by brushing on Penn Rod and Reel Cleaner then wiping it off.

I'd never heard of this stuff until now-a web search shows it's sold @ West Marine 3 blocks from my house!

Thanks for the tip!

I spray a small amount of inox onto a toothbrush and brush away, seems to work well.
