Title: problems with 113h
Post by: weedline on July 13, 2009, 04:36:25 PM
When i was fishing yesterday a fish hit the line. When i grabbed the rod and started to reel the spool would turn a little then there where a bunch of loud grinding noise. When i got home i took it apart and it seems that where the pinion gear is starting to wear down and the spool shaft where the pinion gear turns it, the square is starting to round off the corners and doesn't allow the pinion gear to catch. Has anyone else had this problem and would i have to get a new pinion gear and spool to fix this.

    Thanks,
              Ryan

ryan, you may have to replace the pinion gear.  worst case you'll have to file down that shoulder on the spool shaft or even replace the spool.......
