Hi guys,
I have a Penn 160 and a Penn 99.
Both of their spindles are bent a little bit off the main arm, such that the spindle and arm are not exactly 90 degrees/perpendicular to each other.
Any recommendations on how to bend the spindle back into a "straight" position? I don't want to break or scratch the handle, especially on the Silver Beach 99.
Thanks.
I use a plastic ended hammer. It wont damage anything. Amazon has them.

I cut two pieces of wood that can fit between the counter weight and knob and crush in my vise or you can also use wood to hold it in the vice close to the area you wish to straighten and then bend either with your hands or. with wood again, clamp with vice grips to make any small bends or tweaks. Just straightened a bent Lexa 400 handle 2 days ago with this. have done a number of handles in the past with good results.
