Anyone know of a decent source for discontinued shimano parts? I have a customer with an old A series baitrunner, it is his favorite reel and is in need of repair. At a minimum I want to replace the anti reverse spring and spring holder, parts RD 0479 and RD 0480. Shimano says parts for this old beauty are no longer available and I would really like to help this guy out. Thanks in advance for any info.

Just found the post about Sea Isle Tackle in New York, I will try them tomorrow morning but if they dont have the parts I need, I am still looking for ideas !

i just checked and i have RD 0479, but i do not have RD 0480. send me a pm and i'll mail the spring out to you. alan

thank you, I called sea isle this morning and as luck would have it he had all the parts I needed. Thank you very much for the offer but the parts are already en route ! ! !
