Hi Alan, Would the bellvilles in a Penn 50 international be
heavyer  than a 30 or 20 ? if so could you swap them to beef it up
along with the dura drag washer to use 100 lb braid on it ?
it would be diff than just swapping to ((()) config.
Hope you can understand what i am asking.

the probably are, but penn has used so many different washers that you can never know for sure.  using either thicker bellevilles or changing the configuration should have the same effect.  i've got a box with lots of different sizes, so i just mix and match them until i get a combination that i'm happy with.  check the ones that you have and play with different combinations.  if you need extras, get me the dimensions (id x od x th x ht) and i can get a few out to you.  i just order up a variety from mcmaster.com.  alan

Alan, how do you measure them for pressure or tension ?
How would you make a stack for a certain amount of drag, can
it be done without putting the reel togeather  and taking it
apart many times ?
