Title: BDOutdoors Newsletter Quote. Okuma Admits to Alani Tani's Influence.
Post by: Dominick on March 01, 2012, 01:33:06 AM
I received a newsletter from Bloody Decks now known as BDoutdoors.  Here is a direct quote from Okuma. Dominick

"Just as the Makaira product line is hitting full stride, Okuma is releasing an upgrade at the direct request of the long-range community. Not only listening to, but acting upon the input of David Choate and Alan Tani among many, the Makaira SE line-up includes super-tuned bearings, oversized handle arms and a lower low gear in the 20 and 30 sizes. Out is the traditional goal (sic) color and marlin engraving, and in is gun smoke anodizing and an engraved yellowfin." (emphasis added)
