Hi,

Does anyone know where I can buy bearing spacers? Looking to buy or in bulk to balance my spools. Thanks in advance!

It's going to depend on the reel model and how far off the spool is.  There are lots of possibilities.  To be ready for anything, you can buy several rolls of shim stock in different thicknesses and cut your own with scissors or shears.

I'm not sure what sizes you need.
There is a member here, tenderloin is his screen name, that can help you with Newell size specific shims. He can help you out.

Brian Young helped me find these a few years ago and I've been using them with great success in getting spools exactly centered. I haven't ordered in a while so double check if 8mm clears in inside-diameter of the bearing cup with a little play. For thicker spacers there's another ebay seller with black plastic shims too.

Aloha,
Kyle
