Title: 112h goes clunk
Post by: Padre on January 30, 2015, 12:22:11 AM
Finally got around to putting my 112h back together after installing the SS gear sleeve. Cleaned and greased everything while I was in there. After switching to freespool and then re-engaging the eccentric, when I turn the handle, it will move just a little bit, and then there's a clunk that I'm guessing is the pinion popping into place on the spool spindle. Is that what I'm feeling/hearing? Is this a natural quirk of the reel, or is there something wrong with my re-assembly?

I love that "clunk" sound when a big one takes off on a slow roll. Right after you hear it, its time to hold on!
