I was wondering is there a drag upgrade to the Tyrnos 50 LRS 2 speed reels?

it's a two speed, right?  it should have a carbon fiber drag already.  shimano's carbon fiber drag is not the best type, but it generally works quite well.

Yes Sir, it is a 2 speed, I'm using it pulling a 32oz trolling weight high-speeding for Wahoo and I don't believe the drag is quite up to the task! I was just curious if there was an upgrade of sorts and knew you'd be the man to answer my ?!

Hi cerberus63,

Your Tyrnos 50 LRS is an ideal wahoo weapon, no worries... don't short-change it. Even the 30's work great (nearly 900yds 65lb braid & topshot)
You've got all the line capacity you need (especially with braid), plenty of drag, and less weight to lug around

Your reel will pull wahoo like this all day long, no problem.
