OK, this really freaks me out... as I understand it, Searea's not a model, but a designation on several models indicating that a spinning reel has TWO handles -- not just double-paddle, but TWIN-HANDLE -- ONE ON EACH SIDE!!! ???

Do you stick the rod in a harness/holder & crank like a madman? Are these reels for three-handed people? Is there some weird reach-around thing happening between "fishin' buddies" that are WAY too close?
...somebody, PLEASE come up with a plausible explanation, before my brain explodes
I believe it is so you can switch hands to "rest" the other hand and arm by using different muscle groups. Probably for hard core "jiggers".
You know, attaching that reel to a necklace will allow you to use both hands, that would make a 5:1 ratio a 10:1 ;D.

I guess that would make marginal sense for bigger/better/heavier spinners, but Searea are mostly affordable models in 3000/4000 size -- nothing bigger than 5000. Wouldn't an all-metal 6000 be bare minimum, for hard-core deep jigging?
...plus, there's this goofy sketch of two guys working one upright rod:

...still, BEFUDDLED ???
I mean, I could hang one up on the tree, but Christmas's not that big in SE Asia :D
Its for really big bluegills and shell crackers when you have to stick the rod in the holder on the jonboat
Check out Capt. Jeff's Kona fishing site here: http://fishinkona.com/jigging.htm This idea isn't new.

Got it. Thanks. I guess the dual-handle Aernos 3000 is the kids' version of a modified Stella 10000... postpones "Daddy, I'm tired" by a couple hours.
