Title: Tiburon smart shift
Post by: BMITCH on March 01, 2012, 01:28:17 PM
I'm doing a little tire kicking and was wondering if anyone had any first hand experience with the Tiburon sst 7524? Thinking of getting one for jigging, but with a $500 + price tag was looking for some input before taking the plunge!

  Thanks, Bob

Although I have not used a Tiburon Smartshift for Jigging I have read that most do not like them for Asian style  speed Jigging.
If you are "West Coast" jig tossing, they may be ok.
It looks like Tiburon, will be entering the Jigging reel market very soon though, with a single speed reel that you can interchange gears with a phillips screw driver in two minutes.

Conch,  thanks for the heads-up on that new tiburon. That reel looks SWEEEET!!!!! Hope to get more info on this one before our N.E. Tuna season gets into high gear. That's what makes this site such an asset. You have a great cross section of people, most with valid input.

Thanks, Bob
