I got around to opening up my 12-20 Light due to a hesitation when putting her into freespool. You actually had to manually push the spool forwards to get her to start letting out line...(even with the preset very light). This is a very simple reel to disassemble, clean, lube and reassemble. Similar to the Regal 12 but with different double dog setups (see pics). All in all a very straight-forward adventure if you look through the previous Fin-Nor maintenance procedures posted here.

The last pic shows the different double dog setup as regarded to the Regal 12....very simple but effective mechanism.
