Picked up a nice AJ and a mango yesterday. A few other AJs were caught by others and about 15 big endangered red snappers. Not sure how many legal days we will get next year but the numbers are coming up good. I see a lot of small ones being caught but more of the 15 to 30 lb range are caught on most trips.

So very nice. We call AJs Kahala in Hawaii. They are definitely fun to catch and delicious to eat.
Just blackened a chunk of that AJ for lunch. Sure was good after a hard workout at the gym.
Nice AJ.
I'm sure looking forward to joining you on the boat. I just have to keep telling myself that six weeks will go by fast. I hope the weather is good.

Will do. I'll need to ask about what tackle is appropriate.
Nice catches! Back in North Carolina our offshore trips included some ledges or structure where the AJ's hung out. The mate called them "reef donkeys" from their determined will to stay down.
