here's an older one, The Gordon by Sharpes of Aberdeen. Made 1950 until 70s sometime, believe this one I have is late 60s.

hard to see, but there's 50m of dark green coated backing on there.. good enough for the girls I go out with, um fish I catch ;-)
found a price list somewhere on the web which gave £3 11s in the early 60s, £4 by 1970 - so I figure mid or late 60s..
I routinely land big carp that run 50-100yds out, on old click-pawls. There aren't any trout that frighten me on a click-pawl.. ;D
