Title: Ambassadeur date/model???
Post by: wailua boy on November 05, 2021, 03:32:35 PM
Aloha Ohana. I recently picked up this reel as a combo but was more interested in the Fenwick Lunker Stik it was attached to. They were a pawn shop buy for $20, so I think I scored. I'm thinking the production date is 1998 but being new to abus, I'm not too sure.  Can anyone confirm or deny this date? Thanks

this doesn't match up, but might be worth taking a look at.

The foot says August 1999.

The 7 is hard to decipher but last two digits are 07 so that means it was the seventh revision or version. As Steve says, August 1999, but the seventh revision. 990807

Somewhere around here I think there is an ABU with a revision number in the teens.  But, my life is in shambles.  You have to wonder what the flurry of ativity was all about.  Or, maybe someone sent a Swedish interoffice memo.
