Title: Old school guides
Post by: Bunnlevel Sharker on October 23, 2013, 04:38:45 AM
Ok I am currently rebuilding a old solid glass rod for a 12/0. I'm running an old aftco roller and stripper that are silver, I just need to figure out what guides to use. Any suggestions?

If you want real "old school", then use either a Perfection WPC series or a Perfection WCG ( http://www.fishermansheadquarters.com/equip_perfection_guides.htm ) or a PacBay XBG or XBBG ( http://www.mudhole.com/Rod-Building/Wire-Frame ). My personal choice would be Fuji CLRLG ( http://www.mudhole.com/Rod-Building/Hardloy-old/CLRLG-Boat-Guides ) or Fuji CULG if you can find them. The American Tackle BLG ( http://www.mudhole.com/Rod-Building/AT-Boat-Guides/BLG-Boat-Guides ) is a good choice as is the PacBay BHG ( http://www.mudhole.com/Rod-Building/Hialoy/BHG-Boat-Guides ) or the RBHG ( http://www.mudhole.com/Rod-Building/Hialoy/RBHG-Boat-Guides )
