Title: Turning Salmon into Halibut
Post by: Crab Pot on July 08, 2019, 11:11:21 PM
Went out with two buds Sunday hoping to get on the Salmon bite but the wind was so bad we decided to stay in the Bay and chase Butts.

Wind was real bad at first but it laid down after a while.

Splashed at Richmond and dropped lines right off the break wall. Didn't take long before we were feeding shakers damn near 5 trays of bait.

We fished 8 to 20 feet trolling with 6" dodgers.

We blasted over to Paradise to get a way from the wind but it followed us.

We managed to keep 5 and lost a couple at the gaff. Nothing huge but they are still to be had if you put in the time.

Fun day, good to get out again and get that skunk smell off from my Blue Fin trip.

It's funny,
Those were what halibut were supposed to look like when I was a kid, now they look kinda weird.
