Hi Randy, is this 808 kit also known as the super wide jigmaster kit ??

Ted, the frames for the super wide Newells and Jigmasters are identical. For this run, all of the frames are marked "808", eliminating the need for Tiburon to make two separate frame inventories. This move allowed Tiburon to agree to reduce my cost so that I could drop the selling price from the original $195 to $185 for this run. I think that the "808" designation is appropriate because these extra wide reels were originally created for Hawaiian shore fishermen who need an easy casting reel with maximum line capacity. The spools for the Newell and Jigmaster and Jigmaster HS are not the same. That is the only difference between the Jigmaster and Newell kits.
