It`s a starless drag system . The crank handle is the drag control , and the little lever is to dial in and clock the drag range .
How does the little handle move with the handle lock screw in place?
Or is it pre-set?
Interesting. So if you're winding against resistance the drag pressure I guess goes up on its own?

The little lever is set stationery / clocked , you can set this on one quarter increments It has a stop nub for the crank handle / drag control .
When fighting a fish , the handle will tighten as you encounter resistance until it hits the stop on the little lever . to loosen the drag you pull back on the handle against the dog gear and the drag loosens .
You basically working with less than one turn of a normal drag wheel .
It is a gadget that really did not "work " for most fishing situations .
