Title: Ande Monster Blue

Has anyone used this line? Wondering how would work on offshore trip for grouper and amberjacks? The dark blue color makes me worry will the fish see it.

I think it would depend where and how deep you are fishing- if you are a hundred feet deep it will look the same as red or green. I use a heavier shock leader of 100 or 130 clear mono fluoro anyway for the rocks. I use Trilene hi-vis orange with the clear leader and I cant keep AJ off my line long enough to get a grouper some days.

If you are 35 feet in the Keys, I'd use clear fluoro. Those fish can tell you what Bass Pro your hook came from. My 0.02.

I don,t have the need to worry much about color for my fishing as some here do.

What I have found with Ande Monster is that it has good abrasion resistance with extreme breaking strength & low stretch for its given diameter. It's not much bigger than Big Game for a given line class. Ande Monster is a very good line... Jeff

I wouldn't worry about it. Presentation and a good bait are more important than the line.
