I am kind of interested in this reel,,looked promising. Has anyone put one though it's paces,,has it held up..? Issues arise?

Thanks

I have a 2500 DX. I took it out today for it's inaugural trip, and it already got a sand bath  ::)

I haven't fished it enough to comment on it's durability, but I already noticed a couple of minor scratches on it, so the finish might not be that great. The metal is black underneath the silver coating, so scratches definitely stand out.

I hear the new Battles don't have the same wind knot issues that the previous gen had.
