Post by: mrwilson99 on July 12, 2017, 10:30:28 PM
I have just finished rebuilding a S533 and was wondering if any penn spool would fit as a replacement for the plastic spool?

Tiburon has a spool for $73.95 440 or 533 same spool. Jerry the reelman says just fish 'em and don't be afraid to put braid on a graphite spool.

A Penn spool will not fit any Newell reel that I'm aware of.

The metal clicker is okay on the graphite spool if you do not over use it. For me I use a clicker when reel is in the rack in case it gets knocked out of gear by someone. Never use a clicker fishing.
