Title: Abu 6500C3 ?
Post by: Magged Out on December 28, 2012, 08:14:51 PM
Bought three Abu 6500's this spring. Can't figure out how take off this brake assembly (http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b128/kimasabe/ARTWORK%20Graphics%20animations/SMILEYS%20float%20my%20boat%20MORE/smileyhead_bang-1.gif) My older abu's just have the c clip. These don't!
Sorry for the ugly pic. Thanks!

you can just slip a tiny screw driver underneath and pry it out, make sure not under the brake blocks, better under the spool driver...

a paint can lid opener makes a good little pry bar for removing those.

Remember to put it back on right side up. If you put it on upside down you will learn new combinations of old words.... ::)     ;D
